Jorge Masvidal Labels Leon Edwards A ‘Fake Brit’ And Calls Him Out For UFC 232
UFC welterweight Jorge Masvidal has responded to Leon Edwards’ recent call-outs and has challenged him to a showdown at UFC 232.
I am ranked and called your name plenty of times, but you have every excuse. You're ranked only 2 spots above me kid and you're on a 2 fight losing streak. don't be scared pussy!!

The war of words between the two began earlier this week when Edwards responded to a tweet from Masvidal warning all the unranked UFC welterweight to “keep my name out your mouth.”
Edwards responded to Masvidal on Wednesday stating: “I am ranked and called your name plenty of times, but you have every excuse. You’re ranked only 2 spots above me kid and you’re on a 2 fight losing streak. don’t be scared pussy!!”
Things then went quiet for a few days, but Masvidal then fired back at Edwards last evening calling into question his nationality and laying down the challenge for UFC 232.
“You must be smoking crack. Who tf ever dodged your sorry ass? Dec 29th you will cease to exist in this world. Tired of you new age punks. You a fake
#Brit and fake fighter I got more fans in England than you bitch made ho.”
Edwards was last in action back at UFC Singapore in June where he defeated Donald Cerrone via unanimous decision. The Brit is currently riding a six-fight win streak and is currently ranked #11 in the UFC welterweight rankings.
Masvidal hasn’t fought since last November at UFC 217 when he was defeated by Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson via a unanimous decision. Prior to that fight Masvidal was defeated by Demian Maia via a split decision at UFC 211 in May 2017.
