Jon Jones throws shade at Daniel Cormier: “No way will he…”

✅ A third fight between Jones and Cormier has been rumoured - but the former doesn't believe DC will step up ✅ "Despite what he says to the media..."

It’s been over two years since bitter rivals Jon Jones, reigning UFC light heavyweight champion, and former champ Daniel Cormier fought each other. In their second bout Jones won via third round knockout, in a victory that was later changed to a No Contest following his subsequent positive test result for turinabol – a banned substance.

Other news:

Since then there’s been no love lost between the two, who have traded jabs via interviews and social media. A third fight at heavyweight, where Cormier has competed since July last year, has been talked about but never materialised. Cormier says he’s willing to fight Jones a third time, but wants to do so at heavyweight.

Now Jones has taken to social media to claim that “DC” will never accept a third fight.

Could be one of the biggest UFC fights to make

As of now Jones remains one of the UFC’s biggest draws, especially since Conor McGregor’s potential return remains nothing but unsubstantiated rumours at the moment. As  of now Jones’ two fights with Cormier hare by far his most successful pay-per-view main events at over 800,000 ppv’s sold. The same si to be said for Cormier, who’s two fights with Jones double his previously most successful ppv main event.

Cormier’s next fight will be a rematch with Stipe Miocic at UFC 241 this weekend. Jones most recently defeated Thiago Santos via a hard fought decision at UFC 239.
