Jon Jones Roasts Colby Covington: ‘Tell Your Mum I Said Hello’
Colby Covington hasn’t had the best 24-hours and the former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has taken the opportunity to rub salt in the wound.
The American Top Team man was involved in an altercation with UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum and he later spoke to MMANytt.com to confirm that he would be pressing charges against the Brazilian.
Covington spoke to Submission Radio last week and was openly critical about Jones and the way he acted during the time they lived together back in their college days.
“I’m saying truths, I’m saying facts,” Covington said. I’m just speaking my mind. I didn’t know I wasn’t allowed to speak my mind in this world. I think I know him more than most people since I lived with him for two years.
“The guy’s a fake – his little f**king baby-faced tweets to Georges St-Pierre, it just got under my skin. He’s just trying to act like a saint, ‘Oh, I’m praying for you.’ Shut up, man. Go do some more coke. Go cheat on your wife some more. You’re a piece of shit dirtbag.”
Jones didn’t immediately respond to Covington, but he took the opportunity today to fire back at him following his altercation with Werdum in Australia.
