Jon Jones Denies Arrest Rumors Following Doping Test Incident
UFC Star Refutes Police Custody Claims
UFC celebrity Jon Jones has expressed his frustration over reports alleging his arrest after a doping test incident. The heavyweight champion finds himself accused of threatening a female sample collector’s life and seizing her phone. This individual, employed by Drug Free Sport International (DFSI), visited Jones’s residence on March 30 alongside a colleague.
Accusations and Allegations
The accuser alleges Jones behaved threateningly and subsequently reported him to Albuquerque police. It was later reported that Jones had been arrested, a claim he now disputes.
Jones’s Response
On social media, Jones labeled himself a “easy target” due to his past legal issues but denied being arrested related to this incident. “I woke up to false reports of my arrest. I have not been arrested. In fact, I am currently in Texas with my daughters at a volleyball tournament,” Jones clarified.
Incident Details
The woman suspected Jones was intoxicated during their visit. Jones countered, accusing her and her colleague of unprofessional conduct, which led to his use of swear words, an action he regrets. He stressed, “I did not threaten anyone, assault anyone, raise my voice, or engage in any form of abuse.”
