If you make the right investments and put in the time required, it certainly can pay off. UFC commentator and podcaster Joe Rogan seems to not have any financial incentive to continue commentating fights.
Earlier this week, media service provider Spotify announced that the company had reached a deal to become the exclusive home of Rogan’s pocdast The Joe Rogan Experience. Spotify is one of the worlds biggest services in regards to podcasts, with millions of listeners every day. Rogan started his podcast in 2009, and it was quickly grown to become the mot profitable podcast in the world. Based on what has been revealed about the new deal with Spotify, Rogan’s status in the industry certainly wont deteriorate.
According to sources to The Wall Street Journal who are close to the situation, the deal Spotify have in place for The Joe Rogan Experience is worth over 100 million dollars. It is reported to be one of the largest and most encompassing deals in the lucrative and growing podcast industry.

Following the announcement of the deal, Rogan released a statement on the matter.
“Hello everybody! I have an announcement,” Rogan stated. “The podcast is moving to Spotify. I signed a multi-year licensing agreement with Spotify that will start on September 1. Starting on September 1, the entire JRE library will be available on Spotify as well as all the other platform, then, somewhere around the end of the year, it will become exclusive to Spotify, including the video version of the podcast.
“It will be the exact same show,” Rogan continued. “I am not going to be an employee of Spotify. We are going to be working with the same crew doing the exact same show, the only difference will be it will now be available on the largest audio platform in the world. Nothing else will change. It will be free. It will be free to you, you just have to go to Spotify to get it. We’re very excited to begin this new chapter of the JRE and I hope you’re there when we cross over. Thanks.”
Rogan certainly seems to have made the right decisions when it comes to his podcasting career.
