Post-Fight Challenge
The spotlight didn’t dim on Buckley post-fight as he took the opportunity to challenge former two-division champion Conor McGregor during an interview with UFC commentator Michael Bisping. McGregor, scheduled to fight top lightweight contender Michael Chandler at UFC 303 on June 29, was called out by Buckley for not facing true welterweights.
In a bold move, Buckley criticized McGregor’s choice of opponents and even taunted McGregor’s family history, making for a highly controversial callout.
