Joanna Jedrzejczyk shows transformation – After brutal UFC 248 hematoma
After having a swollen face to the point of almost unrecognisable, ex-champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk has now shown off a dramatic, facial transformation.
UFC 248 will go down as the event that featured the, thus far, greatest women’s MMA bout of all time for most fans. Reigning champion Zhang Weili put her belt on the line in a war for the ages, winning a close split decision. The challenger, former champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk was horribly disfigured during the bout, as a huge hemotoma formed on her forehead – but she has now made a transformation.

Jedrzejczyk’s face was still badly bruised the week after the fight. She also endured her fair share of mockery and jokes from fans who made memes at her expense. However now the former strawweight champion has made a remarkable recovery. In a post on Instagram this weekend Jedrzejczyk’s hematoma was a thing of the past, and she is clearly on her way back to normal.
Jedrzejczyk will do well with a quick turnaround. As of now, she has lost two out of her last three, as well as four out of her last six. Admittedly, all of her losses are against current or former UFC champions, and she has consistently faced elite competition. Still though, she has fallen quite a way from her position as one of the most dominant UFC champions in this era.
While it is uncertain when Jedrzejczyk will get a chance to compete again, she will undoubtedly look for a triumphant return against top-notch competition.
