‘Jacare’ Souza vs. Derek Brunson 2 Headlines UFC on FOX Card in Charlotte
A pivotal matchup in the middleweight division will headline the upcoming UFC on FOX card from Charlotte, North Carolina as Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza faces off with Derek Brunson on Jan. 27.
The main event fight was announced on Wednesday via UFC Tonight.
The fight will actually be a rematch from 2012 when both fighters were competing in Strikeforce as ‘Jacare’ knocked out Brunson at just 41 seconds into the first round.
Since that time, Brunson has developed into a lethal threat in the middleweight division including wins in seven out of his past nine fights including knockouts in six of those victories.
As for ‘Jacare’, he’s looking to get back on track following a knockout loss to future interim middleweight champion Robert Whittaker earlier this year.
