Ilia Topuria Takes Aim at Conor McGregor During Live Stream
In a recent exchange of verbal jabs, UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria didn’t hold back against Conor McGregor during a live stream, where he made some harsh remarks towards the Irish fighter. Their rivalry, which first ignited after Topuria’s victory over Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298, has continued to escalate, with Topuria issuing a direct challenge to McGregor after his win. McGregor had earlier called out Topuria to meet him at the upcoming Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) event in Marbella, Spain.
Topuria’s Harsh Words for McGregor
During his stream, Topuria responded strongly to McGregor’s previous remarks.
“F**k you, Conor! All day, every day!” Topuria said, addressing the Irishman directly. He continued by criticizing McGregor’s current state in the sport, claiming that McGregor wasn’t on his level and taunting him: “I’d gladly plant these knuckles in his brain to fix it and straighten his nose”.
Topuria also called out McGregor for his involvement in the BKFC, stating that McGregor would merely be a spectator, while he, Topuria, would be headlining UFC 308.
“On the 12th, he’ll be at an event in Spain while I’m on the frontlines, not as a spectator,” Topuria remarked, further highlighting their contrasting paths.

McGregor’s Challenge and the BKFC Event
McGregor’s initial challenge came during one of his streams, where he invited Topuria to face him at the BKFC event in Marbella on October 12. This event is of special interest as McGregor recently became a shareholder in BKFC, and he has expressed excitement about the event. Despite McGregor’s provocations, Topuria remains focused on his upcoming fight against Max Holloway on October 26 at UFC 308.
Topuria’s Focus Shifts to Holloway
While the feud with McGregor continues to grab headlines, Topuria’s primary focus is his title defense against former featherweight champion Max Holloway. Holloway, known for his impressive track record, is considered one of the toughest opponents in the division. With victories over top names like Yair Rodriguez, Brian Ortega, and Calvin Kattar, Holloway is set to be a significant challenge for Topuria.
As Topuria prepares for one of the biggest fights of his career, he must balance his rivalry with McGregor and focus on defending his title against a formidable opponent like Holloway. UFC 308 will take place in Abu Dhabi on October 26, where Topuria looks to solidify his status as the undisputed featherweight champion.
