HE’S BACK! YouTube star Logan Paul planning MMA debut in 2020
After a record breaking boxing bout, controversial YouTube star Logan Paul now seems to be ready to enter the MMA cage.
Paul has been a polarising figure, as he released a video with him making light of suicides in Japan. Despite this, he has risen to fame, and after feuding with YouTube star KSI, they had an amateur boxing bout in August of 2018, with the contest ending in a majority draw. They would then go on to have a rematch last year, this time in professional boxing, with the bout ending in a decision win for KSI. That bout, was a record breaking boxing bout for broadcaster DAZN.

In a post on Instagram, Paul ran through some of his biggest moments of 2019. In the process, he revealed that he plans on having two fights in 2020, one in boxing and one in MMA.
“THE FIGHT… after becoming a professional boxer & three months of a grueling fight camp, I unfortunately came up short. Sort of. We sold out the Staples Center, made internet history AGAIN, & became one of the most successful boxing events on @DAZN_USA. I’ll likely have two fights next year, 1 MMA and 1 Boxing.”
While there is no definitive timeline for his MMA debut, this is not the first MMA fans have heard of it. Ahead of his boxing rematch with KSI, Paul made it clear that he wanted to fight in the UFC.
“The first name’s that coming out of my mouth is ‘Dana White’”, Paul said. “I want to fight in the UFC, and I think Dana White can make that happen. I love MMA, I grew up wrestling, I was one of the best wrestlers in Ohio. No disrespect, what the fuck am I doing, I’m using half the skill set that I was training my whole life to do.”
While Paul’s business with rival broadcaster DAZN may jeopardise debuting in the UFC, promotional rival Bellator may very well me interested.
