Felice Herrig Inks New Multi-Fight Contract with the UFC
When Felice Herrig makes her return to action at UFC 223 she will do so with a new contract in hand.
Herrig has officially inked a new multi-fight deal with the UFC ahead of her upcoming bout against Karolina Kowalkiewicz on April 7 in Brooklyn, N.Y.
Herrig is currently riding an impressive four-fight win streak including victories over highly touted prospect Alexa Grasso, previously undefeated contender Justine Kish as well as a recent win over Cortney Casey at UFC 218.
“We were at the last fight on her deal and were able to get a deal done that both Felice and the UFC was happy with,” Herrig’s manager Brian Butler from Suckerpunch Entertainment said about the new deal.
Herrig has gone 5-1 overall in the UFC since first appearing on season 20 of “The Ultimate Fighter” that crowned the first ever women’s strawweight champion.
With a steady climb up the rankings in recent months, Herrig has enjoyed the best run of her career lately with her win streak and now she will look to put her name into title contention if she can get past Kowalkiewicz in April.
