MMA legends Fedor Emelianenko and Andrei Arlovski are reportedly in discussions about a rematch, 15 years after their first bout. The 47-year-old Russian is regarded as one of the greatest MMA fighters of all time, particularly among those who never competed in the UFC. The two first faced off in the ring under the short-lived ‘Affliction’ organization in 2009. Fedor secured victory with a first-round knockout, sending shockwaves through the sport at that time.

According to a report from Red Corner MMA, Fedor Emelianenko and Andrei Arlovski are reportedly in negotiations for a rematch on an as-yet-unspecified date. The match is rumored to take place under the RCC Boxing promotion and would see the two return to a ring, rather than a cage, for a boxing match ?.

Fedor Emelianenko last competed under the Bellator organization in February of last year, where he was knocked out by Ryan Bader in a rematch of their 2019 meeting for the heavyweight title. Both of their fights ended with a first-round finish by the American.

At the same time, Andrei Arlovski remained in the UFC for a decade to close out his career, after an impressive stint outside the organization following his initial run. He returned to the UFC in 2014, earning a controversial decision victory over Brendan Schaub and continued to compete there until he concluded his octagon career in June.

Fedor Emelianenko Rumored to Face Mike Tyson

Earlier this year, reports circulated that Fedor Emelianenko would transition to boxing to face the iconic Mike Tyson in Saudi Arabia. However, these rumors were quickly dismissed by representatives who told The Sun that the match was never likely to occur.

Instead, “Iron Mike” signed for a historic match on Netflix against Jake Paul, which has now been rescheduled to November 15. The pair were originally set to meet in July, but the fight was postponed after Tyson suffered a medical emergency.
