Edson Barboza vs. Kevin Lee in the Works for UFC Fight Night Main Event in Atlantic City

A lightweight showdown between Edson Barboza and Kevin Lee is currently in the works with plans to have the fight headline the upcoming UFC Fight Night card in Atlantic City, N.J. on April 21.

Sources close to the matchup confirmed the news on Friday following an initial report from Combate.

Both Barboza and Lee are coming off recent losses as they look to get back on track in a matchup between two top 10 ranked lightweights.

Prior to his loss to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 219, Barboza had earned three wins in a row including a stunning flying knee knockout to finish Beneil Dariush.

Meanwhile, Lee fell to Tony Ferguson in an interim lightweight title fight last October, which brought his five fight win streak to an end.

The UFC Fight Night card takes place on April 21 from the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.
