Donald Trump to attend UFC 244 in New York City
Saturday, November second, the UFC returns to Madison Square Garden with UFC 244. With a BMF title fight between fan favourites Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz, it’s a much anticipated event. Now UFC 244 is getting even bigger, with the attendance of United States president Donald Trump.
The New York Post now reports that Trump will be at UFC 244. “They’re making plans for him to sit in the seats,” a source tells the publication. Trump has had a long and positive relationship with UFC president Dana White. Supposedly White invited Trump to UFC 205 in 2016, but the president’s security advisors ruled against attending.

Former interim welterweight champion Colby Covington has also visited the White House, and is a very outspoken and proud Trump supporter. The Trump sons attended his fight with Robbie Lawler in New Jersey earlier this year. Covington will face reigning welterweight champ Kamaru Usman for the undisputed welterweight title at UFC 245 in December.
Trump will be treated to an intriguing fight card on Saturday. Aside from Masvidal vs Diaz for the BMF title, top-ranked middleweight Kelvin Gastelum will welcome former welterweight title contender Darren Till to the division. Heavyweights Derrick Lewis and Blagoy Ivanov will collide, and Kevin Lee returns to lightweight to take on undefeated Gregor Gillespie.
