Derrick “The Black Beast” Lewis to return at UFC 244 in Madison Square Garden
Derrick “The Black Beast” Lewis is back! According to reports from ESPN’s Brett Okamoto Lewis will return at UFC 244 to face former WSoF champ Blagoy Ivanov. UFC 244 takes place November second at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

Fan favourite Lewis earned himself a title shot last year after lining up three straight victories, including KO’s of Marcin Tybura and Alexander Volkov. He then took on heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier at UFC 230, losing via submission in the second round. In his last outing he fought former champ Junior dos Santos, but was defeated by second round TKO.
Bulgarian Ivanov faced above mentioned dos Santos in his UFC debut, losing via unanimous decision after five full rounds. Since then he’s fought twice, against Ben Rothwell and Tai Tuivasa, winning both fights via close, controversial decisions.
