Derrick Lewis: ‘I Want Greg Hardy To Remember The Consequences The Next Time He Raises His Hand To A Woman’
Derrick Lewis and Greg Hardy have been in a war of words for three months now and things don’t look like settling down anytime soon.
Back in April, Lewis told TMZ that he didn’t approve on Hardy’s past and stated:
“I like knocking wife beaters out. I’ll fight Greg Hardy. I don’t tolerate stuff like that at all.”
Hardy kept his silence on the matter until last week, but after scoring a first-round knockout win on Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, Hardy responded by telling TMZ.
“Soon enough, you’re going to see me in front of ‘The Black Beast’. I’m not backing down.”
Lewis was then asked about Hardy’s response on the Slip n’ Dip Podcast with Matthew Wells and Kendrick Johnson this week. After downplaying Hardy’s words, Lewis sent another veiled threat in the direction of the former NFL star.
“He didn’t really say anything, he just said I’m going to remember that,” Lewis said.
“Yeah, I want you to remember that.
“S***, I want you to remember that the next time you raise your hand up to a woman and I want him to remember the consequences of that too.
“I want him to remember that.”
