David Branch Asks to Fight Yoel Romero Next, Romero Responds
Yoel Romero says nobody wants to fight him but he’s found at least one top 15 ranked middleweight ready to accept the challenge.
Former two division World Series of Fighting champion David Branch sent out a message to Romero on Tuesday asking for a fight with him in the most respectful way possible.
Branch is coming off a loss to current No. 1 middleweight contender Luke Rockhold but he’s obviously not looking for a step down in competition in his next fight.
@YoelRomeroMMA people have reason to be feared by you my friend. I want to fight the most dangerous people in the world and you’re one of them. February 24 @UFCONFOX Orlando I would like to do battle with you ?? @Mickmaynard2 @danawhite

According to Branch, he would like to face the former Olympic silver medalist in February at the upcoming UFC on FOX card in Orlando.
It didn’t take long for Romero to respond and it appears he’s interested in the matchup as well.

Romero has been out of action since July when he lost a decision to current middleweight champion Robert Whittaker.
The Cuban born middleweight has been trying to land a fight for the past few months with no takers for his challenge.
Now it seems Romero has found at least one willing fighter with Branch more than happy to step up to the challenge.
