Darren Till Speaks Out on Social Knockouts 3 Brawl
“I Couldn’t Believe It”
Former UFC fighter Darren Till made his highly anticipated boxing debut at Social Knockouts 3 this past weekend. Till faced off against MMA fighter/boxer Mohammad Mutie in the main event, securing a victory via TKO after Mutie complained about a blow to the back of the head. Following the match, chaos erupted in the ring, leading to Till clashing with Mutie’s team. The Englishman has now commented on the incident.
Till’s Reaction to the Brawl
“This is what happens when you’re a fighter. I couldn’t believe it, did this really happen during my comeback fight? I couldn’t believe it. I think he wanted an excuse not to fight. He felt how powerful I was in there, he knew I controlled the distance. I probably would have knocked him out in the last round. Then all hell broke loose.”
“Stuff like this happens all the time, I’ve fought all my life, I’ve been in the middle of chaos. It’s just another day at the office. I won my first boxing match, a match I accepted on short notice. It’s been a crazy week,” Darren said in an interview with Ariel Helwani.

Incident Details
The brawl began when Mutie approached Till, complaining about the illegal punch. Both fighters ended up on the canvas, with their teams joining the fray before eventually being separated.
“This is fighting – you get hit. If you don’t want to continue fighting, don’t fight. He’s not a fighter. He’s trying to be a fighter. He’s a coward,” Till remarked in the post-fight interview.
Background and Future Prospects
Till was originally slated to make his professional boxing debut against Julio César Chávez Jr. on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson, but the event was postponed. This marked Till’s first combat sports appearance since December 2022, following his loss to Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 282. Till, once a rising star in the UFC, left the promotion after a string of losses, seeking new opportunities in boxing. It remains unclear what Till will do next.
