Darren Till teases move to middleweight
For many years now Darren Till’s weight class has been a talking point – is now the time for a move to middleweight?
After a brief hiatus English MMA star and former UFC title challenger Darren Till returned for an in-depth interview. He told Jim Edwards, formerly of MMAnytt, of his plans to return to the UFC this year, amongst many other things.
Till is now in Brazil training, and made a post via his Instagram teasing the possibility of heading to middleweight.
“Come den motherfucking middleweights,” reads the first line of Till’s post.
As of now nothing is set in stone, neither Till’s return or which weight class it will be in.

Coming off of two tough losses
Regardless of which weight class Till returns in a win is hugely necessary for the English fighter, as he has lost two straight fights – both via finish. First he was submitted by former welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in his failed bid to capture the title at UFC 228. He then took on Jorge Masvidal at UFC on ESPN+ 5 in London and was brutally knocked out in the second round.
