Darren Till Declines BKFC, Eyes UFC Championship!

Darren Till Declines BKFC Move!

Darren Till, known as “The Gorilla”, has made it clear that he’s not ready to step into the bare knuckle fighting scene, but remains open to a future clash with Mike Perry in a different arena.

Ongoing Rivalry with Perry:

Over the past year, speculation has been rife about Till being the next opponent for Mike Perry. Despite the buzz around a potential match, no official booking has been made yet. During his recent appearance on The MMA Hour, Till discussed the volatile nature of his relationship with Perry.

“Perry, he went mad the other day and called me every name under the sun,” said Till. “That fight has to happen one day. I would love to face Perry. I really don’t want to meet him in bare knuckle, because I feel like bare knuckle is the kind of organization you turn to when… I don’t want to be disrespectful to anyone, but when you’re approaching the end. It’s like if you don’t care about getting your face smashed up and stuff like that. I still feel young and fresh. I want to save bare knuckle.”

Shifting Focus:

Instead of stepping into the BKFC and the bare knuckle arena, Till indicated that he is likely to engage in a boxing match and then work his way back to the UFC. After parting ways with UFC in early 2023 following three consecutive losses and only one win in six matches, Till remains determined. He faced stiff competition, including UFC champion Dricus Du Plessis. “Dricus beats everyone; I had him for two rounds before he stopped me. It kind of makes me angry because I know I can be a champion. That’s my goal, I will win a UFC title, I know that.”

Anticipated Announcement:

According to Till, fans can expect an announcement regarding his next match soon, and it is likely to be within the boxing realm.

“Give me a few days, and there will be a big announcement. I think those who are waiting and thinking that Till will just fade into the background are really going to be happy about this announcement. I’m going to enter the boxing scene in a storm and then go back to the UFC, get a title, and say, ‘I did it, I was one of the best, see you later, goodbye.'”

This article presents Darren Till’s aspirations and plans as he navigates his fighting career, reflecting his determination to return to the top in the UFC while initially exploring a detour through the boxing world.
