Daniel Cormier Fires Back At Jon Jones: ‘You’re A Cheater And A Snitch’
The war of words between Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones continues to wage on and it’s the UFC’s double-weight champion Cormier who has dealt out the latest lashing via social media.
Last evening, Jones took to Instagram to blast Cormier for failing to answer the phone to USADA, stating:
“You mad, Bro? USADA keeps calling but you’re not going to pick up the phone because the second you hear them say I’m innocent id the instant the illusion you’ve created shatters.”
Cormier took only a matter of hours to respond to Jones today and he went straight for the jugular referencing a number of Jones’ rushes with both the law and USADA.
“So here we go again Jonny boy. First off, if you did nothing wrong and were ‘innocent’ then you’d have never been suspended. You’ve had to stand before these people and arbitrators so many times it’s insane. So you slipped again, how many times can one man slip? I’ve been tested 70 times and I haven’t slipped once. How do you explain that? And on top of all the cheating you’ve done around UFC 182, UFC 200 and UFC 214 and that’s not even the straw that broke the camel’s back. You are actually a SNITCH! You think you’re the only one that’s been offered this deal? No, you’re just the only scumbag low enough to take it! Which one of your teammate did you tell on to get this joke of a punishment from USASA! I thought there was nothing lower than a cheater but it’s not surprising that you show me a whole new level. You’re a cheater and a SNITCH! Get off my page and go do some coke, or steroids or whatever you losers do you in your spare time. #doublechamp”
Do we see a third showdown between Jones and Cormier? Time will tell.
Jones recently was cleared to return to the Octagon on October 28, but with Cormier targeting a showdown with Brock Lesnar before retirement, a trilogy fight between the two before Cormier retires is currently looking unlikely.
Should the tension between the two continue to build like today though, who wouldn’t want to see these two share the Octagon one final time to once and for all put to bed one of the greatest feuds in UFC history.
