Dana White shoots down Conor McGregor vs Manny Pacquiao: “Sh*t”
UFC president Dana White has no interest what so ever in a potential boxing bout between Conor McGregor and Manny Pacquiao.
There have been rumours of the two fighting since the Filipino boxing legend signed with the same management McGregor is under; Paradigm. The Irish UFC star even hinted at a deal for a boxing bout between the two being close to be signed. So far, however, nothing has materialised from the proposed boxing bout.
Recently the rumours began to spread once more, as McGregor wrote “I accept” in the Filipino language Tagalog.

This caused reporters in attendance for this weekend’s UFC event to ask White about a potential McGregor vs Pacquia fight.
“I don’t care about any of that s**t,” was White’s simple, blunt reponse.

McGregor’s future status in combat sports is quite uncertain. Though returning to the UFC earlier this year and finishing Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone at UFC 246, he has not competed since. He has not even had a bout booked since the TKO victory over “Cowboy”. It was first announced that McGregor would receive the next title shot at lightweight following the championship bout between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Tony Ferguson. As is now known, however, that bout never happened due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
At 41 years old, Pacquiao currently holds a three fight winning streak, including an impressive victory over top notch opponent Adrien Broner. His last bout was a July 2019 decision victory over Keith Thurman.
