DANA WHITE SHARES UPDATE ABOUT POSSIBLE COMEBACK FOR CONOR MCGREGOR

✔ "He does everything right with his leg" ✔ Who will be the next opponent for the superstar?

UFC President Dana White is optimistic about an imminent UFC comeback for superstar Conor McGregor. The Irish fighter broke his leg in the exciting trilogy fight against Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier at UFC 264 back in 2021, and has since then focused on recovery.

Despite the broken leg, the Irish UFC fighter has challenged most fighters on social media, including the current lightweight champion Charles Oliveira. “Do Bronx” Oliveira just defeated Poirier via submission at UFC 269. After that bout, he was clear with his interest in a matchup against McGregor.

The former double champ McGregor has also considered a trilogy match against rival Nate Diaz, who currently only has one fight left on his current UFC contract.

White believes that the Irishman will return to the octagon in the summer of 2022, but nothing has really been set in stone yet.

“I think so (McGregor fights 2022),” White told TMZ. He does everything right with the leg. I hope he can return this summer.

Who will be the next opponent for Conor McGregor?

For his comeback, McGregor has several opponents to choose from. Nate and the champion Oliveira are, as previously mentioned, possible alternatives, but the bitter rival Poirier can also be an option.

After the broken leg at UFC 264, McGregor started shouting, threat and insult the”The Diamond” Poirier in the octagon, who took the opportunity to mock him back. Since then, McGregor has been very eager to face Poirier in the cage for a fourth time.

December 2021, Poirier’s winning streak was broken, which could mean that McGregor turns to champion Oliveira instead. Another option is a meeting with celebrity boxer Jake Paul, who hinted at a fight against McGregor earlier!
