Dana White Says Conor McGregor Vs Khabib Nurmagomedov ‘Is The Fight To Make’

Dana White says that Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov 'is the fight to make' but all depends on the outcome of McGrgeor's court case.

UFC President Dana White says Conor McGregor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov is a fight he wants to make, but everything is dependent on the outcome of the Irishman’s upcoming court case.

Speaking today on the UFC Unfiltered podcast, White said that McGregor vs Nurmagomedov is the plan, but nothing can advance until McGregor’s court case is read in Brooklyn on June 14.

“Yeah that’s the fight to make, but there’s no fight to make until we figure out what happens with Conor,” White said.

White had previously stated that he was hoping to meet with McGregor during UFC Liverpool, but the meeting never happened. The UFC President explained that this was due to a personal issue with the Irishman.

“It didn’t work out, now we’re working on meeting in between Chicago and his court date in New York,” White said. “Something happened. Something went down with him personally and he couldn’t do it.”

Another figure involved in the incident in Brooklyn in April was McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov. Very little has been said about his current status with the UFC since the bus attack in New York, but White confirmed that he is still with the company.

“Artem is still here, we haven’t made any moves on Artem lately,” White said.

“I’m still waiting to see what happens with Conor to see what happens with this situation.”
