Dana White Confirms Ngannou Is Next For Miocic: ‘That Was Some Ivan Drago S***’
Francis Ngannou was the arguably the man who walked away from UFC 218 with his stock most raised and he seemingly caught the eye of the UFC President Dana White.
The Cameroonian-Frenchman took only two minutes disposing of Alistair Overeem in the co-main event of the evening and he did it in devastating fashion as he landed a huge uppercut onto the chin of the Dutchman to render him unconscious.

It was an extremely impressive sight and even White seemed a little taken aback by what he’d just witnessed.
“He is,” White said, confirming Ngannou will be the next to face champion Stipe Miocic.
“He looked incredible tonight. Just wow. That’s as impressive heavyweight knockout as you are ever going to see.”
White then went on to say that he’d like to book the fight “as soon as possible” and even hinted at UFC 220 in Boston on Jan. 20 as a likely venue.
The UFC President later spoke about why he thinks Ngannou is special and why he thinks might go on to become one of the UFC’s biggest stars.
“He’s a big scary monster man, he’s a big scary dude,” White said. “I don’t know if you guys saw that social media thing we put out of him at the Performance Institute that gauges your strength and how hard you hit, he broke the record. He broke the world record.
“[I don’t know who] The company has had hitting that thing, but whoever held the world record, he beat it.
“That’s scary. That’s some Ivan Drago s***.”
