White’s Sharp Criticism
During a press conference following Dana White’s Contender Series 68, White expressed his disbelief over Dvalishvili’s choice to publicize the injury.
“The whole world knows about Merab’s cut, he posted it. Our guys are so dumb, it’s next-level unbelievable,” White stated, highlighting the difference between UFC fighters and boxers, who, according to White, are much more discreet about such matters. “It’s a small cut, no big deal, but obviously it needed to be posted. Why the f*ck would you want him to know that? It is next-level stupid. Some of these guys are so stupid it’s mind-boggling,” he added.

Despite the controversy, the fight remains scheduled as the main event for UFC 306, which is set to take place on September 14 at The Sphere in Las Vegas. This event marks UFC’s highly anticipated debut at the state-of-the-art venue, and all eyes will be on Dvalishvili as he attempts to claim the bantamweight title after an impressive 10-fight win streak.
