Cerrone, while endeared by many fans and pundits alike, is on a tough skid at the moment. While he entered last year with a submission win, and lined up two additional victories, including a demolishing of Al Iaquinta, that streak was snapped. He currently sits on a four fight losing streak, with all byt one of those losses coming via T/KO. First he lost to Tony Ferguson via TKO, and was then knocked out by Justin Gaethje and Conor McGregor. In his latest outing he faced Anthony Pettis in a rematch, losing via decision.
“I came to throw down and do what I love!” Cerrone wrote on Instagram post-fight. “I had a blast and I’m not going anywhere. See y’all again soon.”
Price has been somewhat uneven in his UFC career, alternating wins and losses in his last six bouts, but constantly delivering thrilling entertainment. Among his impressive finishes one can find devastating knockouts of Randy Brown and James Vick from bottom position, as well as KO’s of Tim Means and Alan Jouban. He last fought Vicente Luque, losing via TKO in the third round.
