VIDEO: Covington’s Controversial Callout Targets Ian Garry with ‘Cuck Boy’ Taunt
Covington’s Challenge to “Cuck Boy” Ian Garry Escalates
Top-ranked Colby Covington continues to intensify his verbal onslaught towards UFC peer Ian Machado Garry. The former UFC title challenger once again took to social media to issue a challenge to the Irishman, albeit with a couple of mocking stipulations for a face-off in the Octagon. Unsurprisingly, Covington also revisited his disrespectful remarks about Garry’s wife, Layla Machado Garry.
“You gave me three conditions unrelated to fighting, all involving my wife. I don’t know how you were raised, but women aren’t property, and my wife is certainly not a trophy. Focus on me,” Ian Machado Garry responded.
"I want to retire you from the UFC, Colby Covington!"

UFC: Colby Covington vs Ian Machado Garry
The rivalry between Colby Covington and Ian Machado Garry dates back to last year, following a social media spat. After defeating Geoff Neal at UFC 298, Garry challenged Covington, who responded with a video outlining three conditions for Garry:
- Open his Instagram comments
- Have Garry’s wife and manager, Layla, record a video requesting the match
- Feature Layla in a betting video alongside Covington
Garry, unsurprisingly, dismissed these conditions. “You gave me three conditions unrelated to fighting, all involving my wife. I don’t know how you were raised, but women aren’t property, and my wife is certainly not a trophy. Focus on me,” Garry responded.
Covington has now released a new video, continuing to provoke Garry and his wife: “Ian, you said a lot of stupid things, but I agree on one point,” said Colby Covington in his new video. “Layla is no trophy; at best, she’s a consolation prize. You don’t dictate terms here, ‘Cuck Boy’.”
