Conor McGregor listed as one of social media’s most valuable athletes
Conor McGregor holds the record for the fastest finish in a UFC championship bout, now he set a new record in regards to social media. Last month he was one the Forbes top 100 list of the highest paid athletes in the world. Now the Forbes has him on yet another list, as one of the most valuable athletes on social media, in regards to interactions on different platforms.

McGregor lands at fifth place out of the seven most valuable athletes on social media with 159.7 million interactions. He’s the only non-soccer player to be on the list. The Forbes list is lead by soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, with 887.22 million interactions.
In regards to combat sports, McGregor has a clear lead on his contemporaries. Arch rival Khabib Nurmagomedov is on second place with 111.1 million interactions. Boxer Anthony Joshua at third with 41.6 million, Floyd Mayweather lands at fourth with 31.4 million, and Canelo Alvarez, the third consecutive boxer on the list, at fifth with 26 million.
As of now McGregor does not have a fight booked. His last bout in the UFC was a losing effort against Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. The fact that the event beat all earlier pay-per-view records by a landslide only illustrates the validity of the Forbes list.
