Conor McGregor predicts Khabib vs Gaethje: ‘Within the first ten seconds…’
UFC 254 goes down on October 24th, in a much-anticipated return for the UFC’s undefeated lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, who faces Justin Gaethje in the main event – However if you ask Conor McGregor, he certainly doesn’t seem hyped for the fight.
Recently UFC commentator Joe Rogan made a post on social media about the main event at UFC 254. Nurmagomedov then posted a chilling comment about what awaits Gaethje on October 24th.
“Justin is a very nice guy and opponent for me, but when Octagon close he have to be ready not only boxing match, I’m not Dustin or Tony. I will take him into the deepest ocean and drown him,” Nurmagomedov wrote.

This incited McGregor, Nurmagomedov’s old arch rival, who couldn’t resist the urge to take a jab at the champ.
“In other words – I’m going to be running around the outside of the cage, sh***ing my pants. And within the first ten seconds of the fight, I’m diving at his legs for a good whiff of his jockstrap,” McGregor wrote.
McGregor and Nurmagomedov competed at UFC 229, which became the most successful MMA pay-per-view of all time. The lead up to their fight was filled with animosity and violence, however, which spilled out after the fight as well. Nurmagomedov ended up winning via fourth round submission but many MMA fans, and UFC president Dana White, are interested in seeing a rematch.
Following McGregor’s TKO of Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone at UFC 246, White stated that the Irish superstar would be next in line for a title shot. However as the Covid-19 pandemic altered the lightweight title plans and Gaethje earned the interim title, it’s unlikely that McGregor will jump the line.
