Conor McGregor Lashes Out at UFC Champion Ilia Topuria
Conor McGregor has taken aim at current featherweight champion Ilia Topuria, dismissing his credentials and comparing him unfavorably to former friend Artem Lobov. During a livestream with Duelbits, McGregor said:
– F*ck him too, I don’t care about him. He reminds me of a retarded Artem Lobov. Two little idiots.
Topuria, who claimed the featherweight title by defeating Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298, has repeatedly called out McGregor. However, McGregor remains uninterested in fighting him.
– Topuria is a non-champion to me, said McGregor. He may have a belt, but it’s meaningless as long as he holds it. I see no appeal in it.
Despite Topuria’s impressive knockout win over Volkanovski, McGregor believes Max Holloway would easily defeat him in a potential title match.
– Holloway, too easy, too fast. I think Holloway picks him apart – if they fight. Holloway has done it before. He’s held the featherweight title, he’s had it for a long time. Now he’s the BMF.

McGregor also expressed a desire for a new “McGregor belt” in his upcoming fight at UFC 303 in June, stating that he deserves a special title given his contributions to the sport.
– There should be a McGregor belt or some sort of money belt, I don’t know. UFC needs to come up with one for me because all these things were created because of me, said McGregor.
McGregor’s return match against Michael Chandler has generated speculation about the introduction of a new title, with Chandler admitting he “wouldn’t be surprised” if UFC introduced a new belt for their fight.
With a victory at UFC 303, McGregor could potentially move to the front of the line for a welterweight title shot, making him the first UFC fighter to win titles in three different weight classes? (ClutchPoints)? .
