Colby Covington challenges 50 Cent to boxing bout – With special rules

"If he got shot one time by me, he wouldn’t get back up. 50 Cent is a little b*tch”

After coming up short in his bid to capture the UFC welterweight title controversial Colby Covington now has rapper 50 Cent in his sights.

Colby Covington, one of the most controversial fighters in the UFC, is at it again. No stranger to feuding with other fighters, managers and even UFC president Dana White, Covington now has an unlikely adversary: Rapper 50 Cent. The reason for the feud started after UFC 245, where Covington challenged Kamaru Usman for the welterweight title. While a strong showing from both fighters, Usman would end up winning via fifth round TKO. Afterwards, 50 Cent, who’s real name is Curtis Jackson and is 44 years old, mocked Covington on Instagram.

While Covington didn’t actually break his jaw in the fight, the comments from 50 Cent definitely got to the UFC welterweight, as he responded by first berating the rapper.

“Nah, I didn’t break my jaw in the fight,” Covington told ESPN on Monday. “Does my jaw look broken? I’ve been smiling. I’ve been with all my mamacitas, you know? The only person that’s gotten their jaw wired shut is 50 Cent. If you want to talk about people who’ve gotten their jaw wired shut, let’s talk about 50 Cent. He says, ‘Oh, I got shot nine times.’ If he got shot one time by me, he wouldn’t get back up. 50 Cent is a little bitch.”

“I’ll donate all of my money to the troops”

Covington then went on to issue a challenge to 50 Cent: A boxing bout. While Covington would surely be a huge favourite on account of his MMA training, he offered to make things interesting. Covinton not only claims that he would donate all proceeds to charity, but that he would box 50 Cent with one hand tied behind his back.

“I want to do a celebrity boxing match,” Covington said. “I’m going to tie one hand behind my back and I’m going to fight 50 Cent. I’m going to put up $1 million of my dollars. I want to fight 50 Cent in a celebrity boxing match. I’ll donate all of my money to the troops because I love the troops so much. They protect our freedom. They put it all on the line for America. I want to fight 50 Cent.”

With YouTuber Logan Paul breaking records in boxing bouts on DAZN Network, and other celebrities showing interest in combat sports, this fight is not beyond the realm of possibility. It is, however, quite unlikely that this proposed special rules boxing bout does more than create headlines and internet buzz.
