This Capoeira Kick Finish Might Just Be One Of The Best Knockouts Of 2017

This Capoeira kick knockout from UK amateur Ollie Flint on Shock N' Awe 26 might just be the KO of the year

There have been a lot of excellent knockouts this year across the world, but this one by Ollie Flint on UK MMA show Shock N’ Awe 26 may just the best one of them all.

Flint, who was making his amateur debut, took on Aaron Gray (fell to 1-2 amateur) in the opening bout of the evening on Nov. 4 at the Mountbatten Center in Portsmouth, England. The lightweight contest began with both men finding their range and with a minute and a half on the clock, the two two tied up against the cage.

After two periods of stalemate up against the cage, the clackers sounded to signal ten seconds before end of the round and the two fighters broke away again to the center of the cage.

The finish came with just a second left in the round (Amater MMA has three minute rounds!), Flint threw a beautiful Capoeria kick that landed flush on the jaw of Gray who instantly hit the mat. It was beautiful display of skill and technique from a man making his debut. Flint celebrated in style as he walked round the cage with his hands aloft, roaring at his team cageside who themselves looked like they couldn’t quite believe what they’d just seen.
