Cage Warriors President Graham Boylan Says Winner Of Soren Bak vs Alexander Jacobsen Will Get A Title Shot

Cage Warriors President Graham Boylan says the winner of Soren Bak vs Alexander Jacobsen will get a Cage Warriors lightweight title shot.

The stakes at Cage Warriors 93 have just got even bigger and the co-main event this evening in Gothenburg, Sweden will serve as a no. 1 contender fight for the Cage Warriors lightweight title.

Chris Fishgold currently holds the 155-pounds Cage Warriors belt, but with his future with the company currently undecided, it appears like the promotion are starting to put some building blocks in place to get the division moving once again.

Speaking to MMANytt.se yesterday ahead of the Cage Warriors 93 weigh-ins, Graham Boylan said that the co-main event between Soren Bak and Alexander Jacobsen will almost certainly determine who will fight for the title next.

“All eyes for me are on the co-main and the main [event],” Boylan said.

“In the co-main we have two 55ers who are top of their game and I believe the winner of that fight walks away as the no. 1 contender for the Cage Warriors 155-pounds title.

“The two of them are up there in the elite of the roster that we have.

“I think we’ll have one side of the 55 world title fight coming up this year in that fight, so it will be very interesting to see where that goes.”
