Marshman (22-8) is coming off the back of two losses having been defeated by Antonio Carlos Junior and Karl Roberson in his last two outings in the Octagon. The Welshman has a 2-3 record in the UFC having recorded a win on his promotional debut to Magnu Cedenblad and then defeated Canadian Ryan James. Marshman was expected to face Brad Scott at UFC London in 2017, but his attempted cut down to 170-pounds didn’t go to plan and the fight was called off just 24-hours prior to fight night.
Phillips (21-8) will be looking to record his first win under the UFC banner in London. The Welshman has fought twice in the Octagon so far with losses to Charles Byrd and then Kevin Holland at UFC Fight Night 141 earlier this year. Phillips trains out of SBG Ireland under head coach John Kavanagh and previously fought in BAMMA and Cage Warriors on the UK domestic scene.
Other unconfirmed bouts set for UFC London on March 16 include Molly McCann taking on Priscila Cachoeira and Alessio Di Chirico facing Tom Breese.
