Askham, Popek Monster, Janikowski And Possibly A Heavyweight Title Fight Heading To KSW London
KSW 45 will take place on October 6 in London, England and last evening the promotion announced a star studded line up of fighters expected to feature on the card.
Middleweight Scott Askham will be joined by Polish stars Popek Monster and Damian Janikowski whilst a heavyweight title fight could be announced in the next few days.
Karol Bedorf defeated Mariusz Pudzianowski in the main event of KSW 44 last evening in Gdansk, Poland and according to KSW boss Martin Lewandowski, the desired plan is to get him to fight KSW heavyweight champion Phil de Fries in London.
“Definitely yes,” Lewandowski told Sportowefakty, confirming that Bedorf is now the #1 contender.
“We will surely announce that bout – either in this, or next week.
“Unofficially I can say that they will probably fight in London, but it’s not certain yet.”
Bedorf defeated Pudzianowski via a kimura submission that appeared to badly damage the shoulder of the former worlds strongest man. Lewandowski couldn’t confirm the exact injury, but did reveal that the promotion had planned for him to fight in London.
“There is a plan to put Pudzianowski on London’s card,” Lewandowski said.
“I don’t know, he met with his own doctor to look into his arm. But as far as I know, his shoulder is either tore or torn, but surely not broken.”
