Ali Abdelaziz under fire for disrespecting Kamaru Usman’s mother
Dominance MMA founder Ali Abdelaziz is a familiar face at UFC events, but the superstar manager always manages to stir up emotions everywhere he goes.
Last Sunday, his client Kamaru Usman managed defend his welterweight title against Colby Covington in a five-round war that had the fans at the edge of their seats.
With only 50 seconds left, Usman finished Covington via TKO and established himself as a force to be reckoned with in the UFC.
Usman’s impressive performance received wide praise and “The Nigerian Nightmare” gathered his team, friends and family to bask in lime light and cheers after his post-fight speech.
Abdelaziz has highly contributed to Usman’s success and deserved to be part of the celebration of the welterweight champion’s moment, but he could have been more smooth about it.
Abdelaziz took place in front of the cameras, but managed to block Kamaru Usman’s mother, something that did not sit well with the MMA community and Conor McGregor’s teammate Dillon Danis:
What do you do when you really want to be in the picture, but your ego is too grotesquely overblown to just stand on the end like a normal person?
Well, you get right in front of the champion’s mother, & block her out of the way, of course. pic.twitter.com/PtlFtYTQNI

Bellator fighter Danis took a shot at Abdelaziz’ move and called him a rat on Twitter:

Ali Abdelaziz has a beef with team McGregor
Danis message on social media is not very surprising since Abdelaziz is also the manager of lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
When Conor McGregor was scheduled to fight “The Eagle” on Oct. 6, 2018 the Irishman and his team took shots at Abdelaziz and referred to him as “a rat”
McGregor famously went on a rant on the press conference leading up to the fight and talked extensively about Abdelaziz controversial past. You can see a clip from McGregor’s tirade in the video above.
