Alexander Gustafsson Predicts He Will Finish Jon Jones In The Fourth Round At UFC 232
Alexander Gustafsson has given his official prediction for his rematch with Jon Jones on Dec. 29 and he’s predicting he will finish the fight in the championship rounds at UFC 232.
Gustafsson will challenge Jones for the second time on Dec. 29 when the two go toe-to-toe in the main event of UFC 232 set for the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Speaking at a press event in Sweden earlier today, MMANytt asked Gustafsson for his prediction for the fight and he didn’t shy away from saying that he’s expecting to finish Jones inside the distance.
“I’ll knock him out in the fourth,” Gustafsson said confidently.
“Jon Jones’ head will bounce off the canvas in the fourth round.”
When asked what he thought about Jones not being tested by USADA for over 41 weeks earlier this year, the Swede simply replied: “Good for him.”
“I don’t have the same respect for Jones as I did five years ago.”
Gustafsson and Jones last fought back at UFC 165 in 2013. That evening, Gustafsson pushed Jones to his limits but lost via a unanimous decision after the American fought back well in the later rounds to finish the fight strongly.
The full media interview with Gustafsson will be up on MMANytt’s YouTube channel later today.
