Alexander Gustafsson Calls Out Luke Rockhold
Luke Rockhold is just days departed from his devastating loss to Yoel Romero at UFC 221, but already he’s got another high profile fighter calling him out, Alexander Gustafsson.
Rockhold lost via third-round knockout this past weekend in Perth, Australia, and many questions have been asked as to where he goes next.
Rockhold mentioned prior to UFC 221 that he was interested in moving up to 205-pounds and it appears that a certain Swedish light heavyweight has taken exception to his plans.
“@lukerockhold , your teammate is holding MY Division hostage, and you think there are only easy fights at LHW,” Gustafsson wrote on Instagram. “If u think Romero hits hard, then wait till you come to the big boys.
“I want @dc_mma , and knocking u out will keep me warm in the meantime. Beware of coming up in weight because I will be standing at the front door waiting.”
Rockhold is yet to comment on his loss last Saturday but did tweet shortly after the bout congratulating Romero on his win.

Will he now follow through and make the move up to light heavyweight? That remains to be seen, but a potential showdown with Alexander Gustafsson would immediately present a big fight for him at a new weight class and could potentially open up a whole new range of possibilities.
