Alex Pereira commemorates title win with UFC belt tattoo
Alex Pereira memorialized his win over Israel Adesanya at UFC 281 last Saturday with a tattoo of his UFC belt.
Pereira won the title fight against the long-reigning champion through a technical knockout when the referee stopped the fight in the fifth round. Pereira was down on the scorecards going into the fifth round, but came back in strong, landing his signature left hook. With Adesanya backed into the cage, Pereira landed a barrage of hits before the referee stopped the fight. The decision was one in which Adesanya did not agree with but that was supported by many in the MMA world.
No doubt such a stunning victory against the reigning champion would be a life-changing event for Pereira. Pereira decided to commemorate the event with a tattoo of the belt on his inner bicep. He posted pictures and video to Instagram.
