Alessio Di Chirico Faces Julian Marquez At TUF Season 27 Finale
The UFC announced this morning that Italian middleweight Alessio Di Chirico will face Julian Marquez at The Ultimate Fighter season 27 Finale on July 6.
The bout was made official via UFC social media.
Di Chirico (11-2) is coming off the back of a win over Oluwale Bamgbose at UFC on Fox 26 in Dec. last year. The Italian is currently 2-2 in the UFC with losses to Bojan Velickovic and Eric Spicely punctuated by wins over Garreth McLellan and Bamgbose.
Marquez (7-1) won his way into the UFC via Dana White’s Contender Series after he defeated Phil Hawes via TKO. He has since competed once under the UFC banner with a win over Englishman Darren Stewart at UFC on Fox 26 last year.
Also added to the card last evening, the Las Vegas Review Journal announced that Roxanne Modafferi will face Barb Honchak, whilst Rachael Ostovich-Berdon will face Montana de la Rosa.
The latest season of TUF features 16 undefeated lightweight fighters who are being coached by UFC champions Stipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier.
