Israel Adesanya Compares Uriah Hall to ‘Clout Chaser’ Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine
Highly touted middleweight prospect Israel Adesanya is two days away from his first ever UFC main event but he’s already got designs on what he wants next.
As Adesanya prepares to face No. 8 ranked Brad Tavares in “The Ultimate Fighter” 27 Finale main event, the outspoken Australian has already clashed with more than a few fighters on the UFC roster.
One of the fighters at the top of that list is veteran middleweight contender Uriah Hall, who has engaged in a war of words with Adesanya through interviews and social media while both are competing in separate matchups this weekend.
Adesanya has made it clear that getting a win over Tavares on Friday should lead him into a bout against Hall or his upcoming opponent Paulo Costa, but either way he’s done giving the former “Ultimate Fighter” finalist any part of his time.
“He’s a clout chaser. He sees me getting some shine and he’s like all these [Tekashi] 6ix9ine type dudes, he just wants wants to jump on the bandwagon, say some s–t and try to get some clout,” Adesanya said about Hall while comparing him to the 22-year old rapper famous for getting into beefs with other hip hop artists. “But I ignored all that.
“Post fight, he can get it. Like I said, [UFC] 226, I’m going to sit cage side and he better win his fight. If he does, I’ll see him. Remember when Rashad [Evans] and “Rampage” [Quinton Jackson] did it, I want to see him, I want him to feel me. Cause he’s been around, he just avoided me the whole time.”
From the sound of things, Adesanya hopes to not only face Hall in the future but he wants to actually confront him in the Octagon on Saturday night.
It’s not likely the UFC would allow him anywhere near the Octagon in that instance out of fear that a volatile situation might boil over but Adesanya definitely wants that fight either way.
For now, Adesanya has to get through Tavares and Hall has to beat Costa to revisit the idea of this fight in the future.
