Mayweather recently decided to speak out on who he feels is the best MMA fighter in the world, and it’s not McGregor. The undefeated boxer instead named Czech-based Uzbekistan native Makhmud Muradov (22-6), who was recently signed to Mayweeathers “The Money Team”.
“I’m very happy, for me big step for my dream, to go to the UFC,” Muradov said in an interview with EsNews regarding his signing.
Muradov is currently on an 11 fight winning streak, and is coming off of finishes over Cage Warriors title challenger Deyan Topalski and former UFC fighter Wendell Oliveira. It remains to be seen if Mayweather’s high praise is warranted, as Muradov has not faced any currently top ranked fighters, but he his last loss was via a doctor stoppage in 2016 and he has yet to face any opposition capable of handing him a loss.
