Nick Newell just wanted his chance to fight in the UFC but unfortunately he won’t get that opportunity — at least for now — after suffering a unanimous decision loss in the latest edition of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series.
Newell, a congenital amputee whose left arm only extends just past the elbow, suffered a heartbreaking loss to Alex Munoz on Tuesday night after receiving the opportunity to compete for a spot on the UFC roster directly from president Dana White.
Following the loss, Newell spoke with reporters about the fight and what comes next for him after suffering the setback on Tuesday.
