Damir Hadzovic Faces Marco Polo Reyes at UFC Fight Night in Prague
The UFCs debut i the Czech capital Prague has just received another bout. According to reliable sourced to MMAnytts Sebastian Vendel-Martinez, lightweights Damir “The Bosnian Bomber” Hadzovic (12-4) and Polo Reyes (8-4) have both agreed to fight at UFC on ESPN+ 3 on February 23rd.
Bosnian born Hadzovic has lived and trained in Denmark under the past decade, alongside fighters such as Pannie Kianzad and Mads Burnell. After making a name for himself on the European circuit with wins over notable fighters such as John Maguire and Ivan Musardo, “The Bosnian Bomber” debuted in the UFC against the feared striker Mairbek Taisumov. Despite a strong showing Hadzovic was defeated via TKO, but he rebounded with a performance-winning knockout over Marcin Held in Stockholm the following year.
As of now Hadzovic is 2-2 in the UFC with wins in two of his last three bouts, bouncing back from a decision loss to Alan Patrick with a solid win over Nick Hein in his last showing.
Reyes was a semi finalist in the second season of The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America. He defeated Cesar Arzamendia in his UFC debut and won two additional fights, including a knockout win over “Maestro” Dong Hyun Kim, before being knocked out himself by top 15 ranked James Vick. Reyes has bounced back into the win column since then with a KO victory over Matt Frevola.
