Khabib Nurmagomedov Finishes Conor McGregor, Chaos Ensues with Massive Brawl After the Fight
Khabib Nurmagomedov won the biggest fight of his life on Saturday night and then marred his perforamance with an ugly brawl outside of the cage at UFC 229.
The end of the fight came in the fourth round when Nurmagomedov locked on a rear naked choke that forced McGregor to tap out from the submission.
It was a very impressive performance by Nurmagomedov, who controlled McGregor on the ground for the largest part of the fight.
The Russian wrecking machine also managed to crack McGregor with a huge right hand in the second round that put the former two-division champion down for a split second before Nurmagomedov lifted him into the air and brought him crashing back down to the ground.

While McGregor mounted a small comeback in the third round by out working Nurmagomedov on the feet with a solid striking attack and good takedown defense, he was doomed after the fourth round got underway.
Nurmagomedov wasted no time getting McGregor back down to the mat, passing his guard and then working to latch onto a rear naked choke from the back. While Nurmagomedov’s arm was never fully under the chin, he cranked the submission and McGregor had no choice but to tap out to stop the fight.
Afterwards, Nurmagomedov stood up over McGregor and shouted at him while the Irishman’s corner started yelling back at him from across the cage. From there it was an utter melee as Nurmagomedov threw his mouth piece at his oppoenent’s corner and then leapt over the cage in an attempt to attack Dillon Danis, who was part of McGregor’s team.
Mayhem broke out cage side with security trying to separate Nurmagomedov and McGregor’s coaches while several members of the Russian’s team were inside the cage engaging in a separate incident.

During the melee, McGregor actually got punched by one of Nurmagomedov’s teammates before security rushed into keep everybody separated.
Afterwards, UFC president Dana White refused to put the belt around Nurmagomedov’s waist out of fear that the crowd might erupt after a very ugly scene following the fight.
White later confirmed that three members of Nurmagomedov’s team have been arrested and taken to jail in Las Vegas.
It was a truly disgusting end to what should have been a historic night for the UFC as Nurmagomedov finished McGregor and now faces potential repercussions after what unfolded on Saturday night.
