Conor McGregor Takes a Shot at ‘Coward’ Khabib Nurmagomedov and His Father

Conor McGregor hasn't said much lately about his return to the UFC but he finally launched his first attack on Khabib Nurmagomedov…and his father ahead of UFC 229

Conor McGregor has fired his first shot at Khabib Nurmagomedov ahead of UFC 229.

The former two-division UFC champion has been relatively quiet since his fight was announced a couple of weeks ago but that all changed on Friday with his latest post on social media aimed at the undefeated Russian and his father.

McGregor posted a photo from the infamous bus attack that he initiated back in April when he tried to go after Nurmagomedov following a separate incident with teammate Artem Lobov a few days earlier.

McGregor ended up smashing a window in the bus with a moving dolly that injured two fighters but through the whole ordeal, he never got to Nurmagomedov.

“Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, I can see you. Cowering behind fake respect. Just like your middle child,” McGregor wrote on Instagram. “A quivering coward.”

McGregor had been rather quiet in regards to his comments aimed at his next opponent but it certainly appears the gloves are off now.

McGregor ended up being arrested over that assault on the bus and later pled guilty to disorderly conduct while agreeing to undergo anger management courses as well as doing community service for his actions.

The UFC has already used footage from the bus attack to promote the fight so it appears McGregor is now doing the same after firing off the first salvo on Friday.

As of yet, Nurmagomedov hasn’t responded to McGregor’s jab at him or his father.
