For McGregor this will be his first UFC fight in nearly two years after he spent the majority of 2017 focused on his boxing match against Floyd Mayweather.
After getting caught up in a legal battle earlier this year after he stormed through the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on a hell bent rampage attempting to get at Nurmagomedov following an incident with his teammate Artem Lobov, McGregor was able to settle with a plea agreement so he could return to his fighting career.
Now McGregor is finally ready to get back to business with the UFC as he attempts to reclaim a title he never actually lost.
Meanwhile, Nurmagomedov will attempt to make the first defense of his lightweight title when he faces McGregor in October.
The undefeated Russian wrecking machine has dominated almost every fighter he’s faced in the UFC and now he will attempt to get the biggest win of his career when he faces McGregor in October.
McGregor vs. Nurmagomedov will headline UFC 229 with the card taking place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
