Throwback to when Conor McGregor told Cerrone: “I’d snap you in half”
Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone is finally official for UFC 246 on Jan. 18, but what not many people remember is that they have a history. Four and half years ago, both McGregor and Cerrone were at the UFC 197 press conference and exchanged insults:
“Conor has no right coming to 155, there is no way, he’s not gonna stand a chance. We’re too big for him, we’re too strong. So you can take your little English ass and get on,” Cerrone told Conor McGregor.
McGregor did not miss a heartbeat to reply to Cerrone:
“They’re too slow and too stiff,” McGregor said about the 155 pound division.
“You’re stiff as a board, I’d snap you in half, and that’s it.” McGregor told Cerrone.
“I see stiffness when I look in that 155 pound division, slow, stiff, I feel like they’re stuck in the mud almost.”

But regardless of what McGregor had to say about Cerrone and the lightweight division, McGregor vs. Cerrone will be fought at 170 pounds (welterweight).
It will be the second time that McGregor competes at the 170 pound division, after taking on Nate Diaz twice at welterweight in 2016.
Cerrone spent 2016 to 2018 at welterweight, going 6-4 against the likes of Mike Perry, Robbie Lawler, Darren Till and Matt Brown.
Who do you think will win?
