VIDEO: Former UFC champ BJ Penn involved in street fight
Once again, former UFC lightweight champion and current member of the Hall of Fame, BJ Penn, is in trouble. After being involved in a controversial altercation outside of a strip club in late June, yet another video has surfaced of a street fight that involves Penn. According to TMZ, who released the video, Penn and his associates were at the Lava Shack in Hawaii, and then got into a situation with another man that erupted into a full blown street fight.
As can be seen in the video, Penn is in full back mount, raining punches down on the man he was fighting with. According to TMZ, law enforcement was called to the scene, but Penn seems to have avoided being arrested.
Second street fight in as many months
In the video that surfaced at the end of June, once again Penn found himself in an altercation that ended with him in top position over his opponent on the street. Penn managed to escape without legal issues in that instant.
Penn is in on the worst losing streak of his career, with seven straight losses – a UFC record. He is now scheduled to take on Nik Lentz at a yet to be determined date and venue. Win, lose or draw, UFC president Dana White remains adamant that the bout with Lentz will be Penn’s last fight in the UFC. Penn most recently faced Clay Guida, losing via unanimous decision.
